Featured Etsy Shop: Frame Knitting – Knitting Without Needles

 

So to continue on my looming path I found a wonderful Etsy shop to share with you today. It’s called Frame Knitting. This shop sells a terrific line of knitting boards also called knitting rakes by some. They are very similar to the round and straight looms that Provocraft and Boye sell but I would say they are a step or two upwards in the loom knitting hierarchy.

I cannot tell you how well these looms work because I haven’t personally used one but this shop lists very detailed pictures such as this

 

of their looms. I have seen similar looms in crafting stores so I can say with a fair amount of certainty that this is likely a good product. The looms appear to be well made and come in three sizes. There is the Noble Knitter 25 which has 25 pegs per side, the Noble Knitter 50 which has 50 pegs per side and the Noble Knitter 100 which obviously has 100 pegs per side. 

The pricing is very reasonable and pretty comparable with other knitting boards out there. Only here you get the added benefit of supporting an Etsy seller. Each knitting board comes with 

• Knitting Board
• Instruction Pamphlet
• Knitting tool

This Etsy seller also sells two different books. One is 

Knitting for the Knitting Board, Knitting Loom, Knitting Rake Book

 

which contains a whole lot of instructions and detailed photographs. The other is a book of projects that you can do on your loom or rake or board whether or not you buy one of their Noble Knitters. 

I highly recommend you check out this shop. If (when) I get one of these looms I will surely post a  review for all of my loyal readers and then you’ll have even more of a reason to check them out!

Featured Etsy Shop:Mama Mia Bridal

 

Okay I love this shop. Makes me wish that I was a bride all over again! I seriously had problems picking just a few pictures to feature in this blog post. Mama Mia Bridal sells unique bridal accessories including but not limited to head pieces and gloves. There are ring pillows, purses and sashes. I mean there are all kinds of accessories in this little boutique that you can use to make your special dress unique. Here are the three faves that I finally was able to pick after oohing and ahing for about 30 minutes. 

 

Venetian Lace Bridal Headpiece

I love the simplicity of this headpiece, it’s so simple and elegant. At only $45 it’s way cheaper than a lot of tiaras and veils I’ve seen out there. 

 

Bridal Hand Fascinators

These are just gorgeous in my very humble opinion, such a different look than gloves and at only $24 they are a great price.

 

Ring Pillow

Absolutely fabulous right? Totally different than those same old same white pillows that you pay thirty or forty or however many dollars for at the craft and bridal stores. This pillow is unique, lovely and only $38! Plus it’s pretty enough to use in home decor after the blessed event is over.

Featured Etsy Shop: The Kraft Room

This is a great shop, they sell banners and different packaging items. Not only that but they sell kits so that you can create your own beautiful packages. This is wonderful for people who like to make the packaging of gifts fabulous! Here are a couple of examples of her products.

 

This is a great bridal themed kit, the items could be used for soooo many things. This could be used as a gift to a new bride for her wedding scrapbook, for decorating a special bridal gift and oh so much more. The best part? It’s only $15 that’s a ridiculously good price if you don’t want to go hunting for crafting bargains on your own. 

 

This is an example of a simple and sweet garland. They come in multiple colors and patterns. They can be used to decorate for a party or quite frankly used to decorate something like your fireplace mantle all year long to add a little touch of color to your decor.

There are tons of people selling jewelry on Etsy so it takes something special to make me say “Ooooooh I WANT that”. Contempo Jewelry Designs succeeded in doing just that.

The genius behind the jewelry is Staci Egan, she specializes in wire wrapping with semi precious stones and freshwater pearls but doesn’t seem to completely box herself into that particular genre. As a matter of fact my favorite piece in her shop is this adorable ring

Totally fabulous right? She has a great selection of ceramic jewelry to go along with the more traditional types of jewelry. I think ceramic jewelry is just awesome, it’s so different than a lot of what you see out there. Etsy Shop of the Day: Cardtorial

I’ve never been a huge fan of greeting cards. They’re expensive, they’re usually goofy or inappropriate to what I actually want to say and…well wouldn’t you rather that I spend that five bucks on your gift than have a card you’re most likely going to toss in the trash eventually?

Well I’ve found the solution. Cardtorial, this wonderful Etsy shop sells hand crafted wooden greeting cards. They’re actually really elegant looking. If I got one I would totally put it on my mantle or something and keep it pretty much forever. It’s like a gift and card all wrapped up in one. The cards are made in the USA and are eco-friendly in that they aren’t just another piece of garbage going to the landfill.

They do holiday cards, birthday cards and more. The workmanship really is exquisite in my very humble opinion. I recommend that you hop over and take a look. Keep them in mind for Mother’s day or Valentines Day. I think those would be two especially good holidays to use them for.
